The United Kingdom village of Loversall might want to change its name after a 44-year-old man allegedly had sex with a Shetland pony.

Alan Barnfield was found by police officers “sweating profusely and smelling strongly of horses,” according to the prosecution in Sheffield Crown Court.

Police claim Barnfield was spotted with a pony named Sky at Oak Tree Stables after midnight on Aug. 8, 2012 and investigated because they thought he was attempting to steal the horse, the British newspaper The Sun reported.

“It is at this time the prosecution say that intercourse took place out of sight in a dark wooded area at the end of the paddock,” Prosecutor Louise Reevell said, according to the Mirror.

Stables owner Jodie Walton said Sky appeared to be in discomfort the next day and police said they found horse DNA on Barfield as well as bestiality pictures and video on his cell phone.

Police also discovered several cans of Lynx deodorant, a length of white electrical cable, a handheld water sprayer, a cloth, a metal dog chain and two bottles of Lucozade in his backpack, The Sun reported.

Barnfield denied he was horsing around, claiming he was out for a walk.
