The couple recently sold their New York home for $ 7.5 million.

The Douglas’ have sold their New York home.

For a whopping $ 7.5 million, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones sold their rural estate in Bedford, N.Y., reports the Los Angeles Times.

The Colonial-style painted-brick two-story home that sits on 5.7 acres of land surround by a horse farm on three sides was built in the 1930s.

It was renovated last year to include a master suite closet, a gym and a center-island kitchen, the Times reported.

Additionally, a recently built guesthouse with a kitchen, living room and a bedroom with a bathroom is on the property.

The 70-year-old actor and his wife of 14 years purchased the home in 2010 for $ 5.075 million. While they had it listed for $ 8.1 million, they still made quite a profit from what they originally paid.

Shortly after selling the estate, the Douglas’ purchased a bigger home in New York for their lavish lifestyle. Now, they are the happy owners of a 15,000-square-foot home that sits on more than 13 acres and has eight bedrooms and 18 bathrooms.
