A paraglider spent three hours dangling from a power line more than 150 feet above ground near a Swiss village Wednesday, authorities said.

Helicopter rescuers braved strong winds to rappel down to the 22-year-old who managed to call police on after finding himself stuck near a dangerous high-voltage line, Rega officials said in a statement.

The man was shown in video hanging on for dear life after part of his glider wrapped around a line shortly after taking off from Séprais, a village near the French border.

A section of his glider and parachute fluttered in the wind as a team of about 50 rescuers assembled above and below during what would become a 10-minute rescue.

The stuck man shouted back and forth with rescuers before the heliopter crew brought down a radio to communication, according to a video taken by RTS News.

A crewmember unhooked the paraglider and lifted him to safety.

Swiss power company in charge of the lines were shut down as a precaution, NBC News reported.
