Robert De Niro is a deadbeat no more.

The two-time Academy Award-winning actor quickly cut a check for $ 6.4 million Thursday afternoon after learning he had been slapped with a lien for that staggering amount by the IRS, his lawyer said.

“If they sent the bill to the right address, it would have gotten paid sooner,” said the lawyer, Tom Harvey.

De Niro spokesman Stan Rosenfield said the feds delivered it “to an old address, currently an unoccupied commercial building.”

“Once Mr. De Niro learned of this tax delinquency, he had a check for the full amount hand-delivered to the IRS this morning,” Rosenfield said.

There was no immediate confirmation from the feds that the bill had been paid.

The IRS announced it was dunning De Niro in a Feb. 3 notice to New York City’s Department of Finance that was obtained Thursday by The Smoking Gun website.

It said De Niro had been notified three months ago that the government would go after his Tribeca condominium if “you neglect or fail to pay a tax debt.”

The bill for a whopping $ 6,410,449.20 was from his personal tax filing from 2013, according to the papers.

De Niro is no stranger to tax troubles.

For fours years beginning in 2010, he waged a bitter fight against the Catskills town of Gardiner, where he owns a 98-acre property, over a $ 6 million assessment.

The 18th-century, six-bedroom, wood-frame farmhouse at the center of the dispute became the obsession of Ulster County as the appraisal value rose to $ 8.98 million.

But last year, De Niro dropped his appeal altogether and even agreed to pay the $ 129,000 in legal bills that the town racked up fighting him.

A proud New Yorker, De Niro in 2012 starred in a commercial promoting tourism across the state.

He also helped the Daily News raise more than $ 620,000 earlier this year for the families of murdered police officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu, who were ambushed by a madman while patrolling Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
